Dr Rana Singh raised the point of starting a section of ASI as Transplant surgery .I did talked to Dr Rana before the meeting and after the meeting and tried to apprise him of such a section. He clarified me that He is only interested in Renal Transplant section only.
Indore is a big center in India for Organ donation and Transplant Surgery including renal,hepatic and heart recently .I am associated with Organ donation association having Government and Social organization members Doctors and others.
I have gone into details of different Transplant Societies in the world including the primary and oldest —
1, American Society of Transplantation ,
2,American Society of Transplant Surgeons
3,British Transplantation Society and the Renal Association
4,British Renal Society
More then 100 such association in world are working for main cause of helping patients of different organ failures to get organs fron living donor or Cadever. Such complex phenomena involves Government Departments,legal/judiciary, social organizations,patients group, donor group , paramedical team,Surgeons, anesthetists,Pathologist , Physicians, Immunotherapiest, and multinational companies to support the cause.
AIMS and OBJECTIVES – Multi professional, public policy,public awareness to assist State and Federal Government to facilitate truthfully under law to facilitate patients getting organ as necessary to get comfortable life and safe guard Donors right.
Surgeons are a very small part in the whole process as it is a multi disciplinary approach
Indian Association of Cardiology has Surgeons ,Cardiologist ,paramedical personnel and intensive care specialist as Members or Co- members taking part in all patients related care discussions.
Renal Transplant is a part of Urology Association and discusses all problems concerned Renal Transplantation regarding surgical technical aspect , surgery or medicine or intensive care.
We already have Urology section -non functioning.
Many sections opened on individual basis with out giving complete study results in a non functioning unit and closed after years.
Dr Rana please forgive my as I wanted to talk about all this personally and requested many times but could not get time. i said you to send my views and that is what I did.
Every suggestions are good but implementation to be done with cautious taking into account all aspects and viability fdron scientific points of view to help Association to promote education and care of Patient.
