Hindu mythology has many stories giving some lesson to learn to understand facts of life and ways to guide it to success and happiness. Do we really learn to mould our life to improve ourselves in all walks of life or take it as a part of religion only and learn from our own mistakes and improve/guide others. Our ways are different from those in other countries and value our religion, society and family to respect elders, coherent closeness among relatives and responsible to our children. Dilution has eroded making way for modern social economical structures. Western Social and Family structures, do repent to leave community, family strings for personal freedom but enrooting in our system. Our new generation is enjoying freedom at the cost of love, affection and security.
More damaging in the present changing scenario is MISTRUST which is increasing with suspicion in each individual and loss of faith among each other. We are carrying burden of individual family and fragmented society to be successful but away from happiness.
One lesson of life is clearly depicted in this story of “SAMUDRA MANTHAN” a way of truth in present life. Catch it, get a message which is clear and loud to mould our ways and be simple in our dealings and enjoy Happiness.
AMRIT is essence of life to be immortal. Life mortal or immortal has two aspects of purity and evil, all of us have it. When these two actions churn in your life gives salvation and concentrated essence known as AMRIT. It is a hard work, mental and physical with total involvement. Wisdom, truth and purity combine together give peace and attainment of high achievement with Happiness. This status is difficult to get, and people say impractical as wisdom and action do not always go together. True, mind and heart do not go together, but wisdom can bind them to give inner solace and act as necessary. Balance is necessary in present world to make it practical and still work under guided parameters. All very successful persons do follow the same but no compromise on virtues and vision of clear direction.
DEV and ASUR (Good man-purity and Bad man-evil) – went to GOD VISHNU to give them essence to become immortal. Who directed them to Churn Sea to get Amrit. Both compromised on common task and started churning vigorously for days but got “JAHAR” a poison fluid. Both ran away. LORD SHIVA (GOD of destruction and destiny) swallowed the poison to save both. Dev and Asur came to Lord Shiva to thank and pay respect but questioned his advice. He smiled and said darkness is followed by light, keep doing it without apprehension and doubt. Ultimately AMRIT came. Both started fighting and doing so spilled it accusing each other, and fighting bitterly. Asur forgot their enemies as anger closed their mind and killing each other. Dev mean while kept cool and got Amrit. Winner is one who keeps his cool even in odd circumstances.
SURYA controls Mind (Buddhi) and Chandrama – Heart (Mun). Rahu is in between and does not allow mind to meet heart and work together. Heart is Chanchal (Flexible) and attracted to all goodies and pleasures, cherishes by body without understanding consequences. Mind always thinks, analyses and give right advises, but because of Rahu, person is not able to take correct decision. Heart/Mun always wanders here and there to subjects and places known to him and made imprint in his mind. But Mind follows a line to think in any direction pertaining to subject and analyses to give correct advice may be a new conception. This may not be palatable and difficult to follow. If Mind listens to Heart and make a compromised decision to help individual and family then is a matured decision. Rahu does not allow this. To control Rahu you need a GURU to guide you, mend your ways, balance the thoughts for good of the people, keep negative thoughts by the side, compromise for the betterment in general and force to keep away ego and vengeance which Rahu controls.
The life has similar two aspects. People get together in adverse situation but do not relish good result and fight to get all or more share with self destruction. One who is matured to keep cool in adverse situation and accept success without noise is DEV a success full person with humility.
In adverse situation if you are lost, make someone GURU to guide you and open the heart to mind to think properly and take proper decisions which may not be correct logically bur good for the people in general, a practical approach. Life is a name of open heartedness with wisdom to guide and take practical approach to success.
We all know the story but a curtain of EGO and REVENGE blind us in a state of fool’s paradise with self destruction.
