Pride and Ego
PRIDE of your self, your work, profession, family, society and nation is inherent feeling of joy and pleasure increases responsibility to be felt by others to pronounce it.
EGO is self created on assumption of wrong self assessment, against the prevalent values, considering self, the important part, with no balance thinking. Blurred vision not beyond self, refuses to see the truth prevailing of glittering stars but darkness around still wrong notion of brightening writing the world away from truth and facts. Even sun feels wrath of such pseudo eclipse.
Vijayadasmi (Dusshera) is celebration of truth prevailing over lie, goodness over badness, DHARM over ADHARM and Wisdom over Cupidity/oppression. Ram represent a selfless character, bound by love to all, duty to family and country, saviour of helplessness and weak, protecting every one from chaos, motivating against high handedness, bind people with love and rise of pride to fight and defeat oppression and EGO.
Ravana, an Emperor with power of God and Wisdom of Goddesses, knew his strenght, but challanged the truthfull ancedotes for self-destruction, to attain mortal at the hand of RAM. It gives a lesson of honest, hard life with all intrigues to walk slowly without compromising and understanding the luster around, to keep away with illusion, to get to its goal of purity, serenity and contentment.
These festivals are not only every year rituals, but on the name of religious function, give some lesson to learn if you wish so, the purify yourself from all egos and feel pride to be a good human being, truthfully carrying out family or social responsibilities and caring for others. Position in a Society / Institution/ Establishments/ Kingdom and Sovereign World is a job assigned to carry out honestly, not be proud of yourself but be a part of pride for others. People may come and go, with any position, becomes a part of history in time to come. Those who work for other selflessly without self-proud and egos are remembered for long time.
Dussehra is the day of self-evaluation, searching own soul and assess positively to programme it for a better future of selflessness and destroy inner Ravan (destructive element and egos) to help others, to be happy and let others be happy. Have you got few minutes to talk to yourself to get TRUTH? Possibly – NO. Try. It is hard. But perseverance of above qualities will make you a good human being with inherent joy away from EGOS to be PROUD of yourself.
