I salute you all, a dedicated bunch of Surgeons gathered together for the sake of goodness of the ASI and Surgeons in general. You all are at the height of your career with glory and enjoying unprecedented respect in the society. This kind of glamour, respect and feeling of obligation in customer (patients) is not seen in any profession. A Teacher from school\ higher education is always a mentor to develop knowledge and guide students destiny. A Surgeon’s impact is more in mind of a patient revisited his life to give glimpse of hope from his sufferings to give new light to his future. A Teacher and Surgeon combined in one is a DEVDOOT to his patient, guiding his actions to truthfulness and develop a natural bonding of devotion, respect and
People expect the best and 100% from a Surgeon and so also the Association and its members. Your deliberations should be positive and away from personal prejudices for the welfare of the Association benefitting our members. Every one of you are highly intellectual and see life from a very close distance to make you more matured to see every point of life with clear wisdom for a just and truthful conclusion. If more than 50 members, see, think and analyse point of discussion, so closely, will deliver the justice desired for the concerned matter. Do apply mind and give your opinion. Never hesitate. Hesitation many times checks very useful and very positive and unexpected suggestions thus speak it out. Presentation with politeness and clear thought are always appreciated by everyone.
I am proud of you and your WISDOM to see some positive decisions without ifs and buts to bring back old ASI Glory.
SELF AUDIT – Change of Leader (ASI President) many times changes priority of acts to be undertaken beside routine work. Long term policy where President-Elect, President and Imm. Past President, can follow it for 3 years to give result or carry forward are necessary. All these activities needs close co-ordination among three P’s (President Elect/ President and Imm. Past President) to give a solid action with result. It happened during my tenure and subsequently. Core group coordination and respect to others views are necessary in getting positive results in all decisions. All activities of short and long term basis needs self-auditing to assess its positive result benefitting ASI and Members in general. Without true auditing, will never be able to judge its authenticity impact and benefit to the members.
PERMANENT PROJECTS – In 2014, I presented a project of International Medical Institute, in ASI, later in ASEAN Surgeons Forum and SAARC platform, got approval. Now presented to Prime Minister Office and at other department of Govt. of India. Dr. Shiva K. Misra and Dr. Chintamani are helping to bring to the notice of Prime Minister Office. Similarly many projects planned in the past likes Skill labs, has still to take some shape. Permanent Project of high quality will take ASI beyond other Medical Organization to give a vision of future learning, cooperation and members benefit.
LIVE TODAY – Today and the present moment is only with you. Make it worthwhile to guide you in future to give cumulative advantage. What you think this moment is the true picture of what is happening and results in correct judgement and proper actions. Do not waste this moment. Future always is uncertain and actions left will not be materialized. We should live in present and analyse conditions to make future beautiful. Do not leave decision for the future, as it will never come to light. This present time of your meeting is an invaluable period of togetherness. Lots of wisdom and feeling of fellowship. Your thoughtful vibration are already influencing you. Make it more vibrant to join you firmly for a cause of goodness of ASI. What more one expect then PUNDITS OF SURGERY – in a YAGNA (GC meeting) giving their Aahuti (views) to bring flames ALIVE to brighten all of us.
Learn to balance your thoughts and actions before any decision. Opportunism blocks the correct process of thinking. Believe in yourself to be HAPPY.
