LCI has about 4400 clubs in 204 Countries, in all continents, and serve the people in cooperation with the existing System of Governance and people, who welcome it and work to bring relief in indifferent sectors as LCI – GLOBAL CAUSES affecting people in every country and relief to the community.

1917 – Beginning following World War-I and rapid industrialization Chicago – Businessman – MELVIN JONES Invited business clubs and people all around USA and Association of Lions Clubs is formed.
1920 – Lions go with International with Lions Clubs Windsor Club Canada is established.

KNIGHTS OF THE BLIND started VISION related work to bring Light in lives of million lives.
1945 – UNITING – NATIONS
Lions from 46 countries help established NGO section of UNO.
1957- LEOS an introduced.
Today about 200,000 (2 lakh) members in the world.
1968 – LIONS CLUBS International Foundation – is created with the mission to half communities globally through Humanitarian Services.
To date more than 1.2 billion is awarded in grant for its activities,
1973 – Celebrated – LAND MARK of 1 million members.
1985 – Disaster relief support –
EXPANDS – National Catashophies like earthquake.
1990 – SIGHT FIRST – To restore Eye Sight. More than 488 million people have been infected over the last 30 yrs.
2017- LIONS TURN – 100
2022 – Campaign 100 goal exceeded
Total of US$ 325 million raised, most ambitious fund raising initiative to date
2023 – Partnering for KINDNESS LCIF and LIONS QUEST became founding member of the CHOOSE KINDNESS PROJECT.
