He was killed by his own EGO of ruling the world of his own wish, challenging the rule of DHARMA .RAM to give world peace tranquility and happiness with equal respect to every one had to kill Ravan. Ravan knew this and allowed him self to be killed to get MOKSHA, thus Ravan killed Ravan in the guise of Ram.
Ravan when burnt on this day by Politicians who are the Ruler and Saviour of citizen asks one question – burn me if you have qualities of Ram.Only Ram has the right to kill Ravan.We have Ravan in our selves as evil instincts with EGO. Kill this first, purify yourself .Then feel and enjoy the distinct inner pleasure of fulfillment and contentment
